Morning,

My first post since joining the forum.
I had my first HALO last Monday and
I am still feeling very sore. The doctors
have said that Iíll need 3-5 for them to be
happy that theyíve done their work. Would
really be interested in others experiences.
Iíve had several biopsies and ERMís and
just need to know how others have felt after
each session?
Thanks in advance

Hi Kevin and welcome to the forum.

I haven't personally had RFA but there are a few on here who have.
You may read Graham's story of his RFA on the Barrett's Wessex website https://sites.google.com/site/barrettswessex/home/patient-experiences#TOC-Ablation - here .

In 2012, Barrett's Wessex bought a HALO RFA machine for Southampton (not really supposed to use the HALO name since it was trademarked by another company for something else). https://sites.google.com/site/barrettswessex/about-us/members/bill-2 - Member, Bill Boyce reckons it saved his life.

If you live in London, you may be interested in the http://www.heartburncanceruk.org/london.html - Barrett's London patient support group that meets in UCLH.
If from elsewhere, the https://sites.google.com/site/barrettsoesophagusuk/home - Barrett's UK website is a driectory of where to find support and reliable information in UK.
